Students who perform well in their school math classes don't necessarily achieve high scores on the SAT*. The SAT* math section challenges students to apply basic math knowledge to word problems, and to use analytical problem-solving skills to arrive a a particular answer.
The SAT* Junior Math curriculum, developed by a math instructor at Stanford University, provides a more structured approach to problem solving. Students engage in analytical exercises and solve complex word problems in order to develop vital critical thinking skills.
*Please note: This class is a precursor to the FLEX Math Olympiad Program.
